UPCOMING BDHHS MONTHLY
FAMILY EVENTS
Events listed below could change. Feel free to call the Agency with any
questions.
BDHHS holds monthly Family Events, where all members
of families are encouraged to attend, not just the ones that are
Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Sign language students are also welcome to
attend, in order to gain valuable interaction experience.
We focus on low cost or no cost events, sometimes
relying on the generosity of the community to provide free tickets
for local events, such as baseball and ice hockey, or reduced rates
on events such as skating and mini golf.
Our very first Family Event was held in October,
2004. Since that time, we have come to recognize the value of
holding such events, for the bonding and interaction within the Deaf
and Hard Hearing community, for Deaf and Hard Hearing to get to know
us better, and for us to get to know our clients on a more personal
level.
For all
events contact Elizabeth to let her know if you are coming, and
how many.
